My Life Outdoors

It’s Been Far Too Long

Have you ever found a blog you really love only to discover its dead or inactive? I used to hate that! For many of my readers, you have probably begun to wonder the same thing about MyLifeOutdoors. Looking over the blog, my last post was back at the end of november. Its been 3 months since my last post, which is way too long.

Upcoming Report for Garner State Park

Not that you need to hear the excuses, but work, life, family, and everything in between has been really bogging me down. I haven’t stopped getting outside, but with everything else going on, spending anytime with the blog has seemed daunting. I hope to change that and start posting on a regular basis again, maybe once a week, to keep things from overwhelming me. Either way, MyLifeOutdoors isn’t dead.

Upcoming Report for Capitan Wilderness NM

Starting next week we will have a post out from my wife about our last trip to Garner State Park. I hope to follow that with my own post about the same trip, including a wonderful write up about a river outfitter that really helped us out. I have a backpacking trip to Capitan Wilderness I need to write about, and a long overdue report for Arches National Park. I also have a ton of gear and how to articles in mind that ought to keep the content coming for some time.

Thanks susan, we did that hike about 2 years ago. I have been meaning to post about it for a while.

I have been telling myself that too. If outdoor blogging could pay the bills, I might make it a full time job, but since its not. Sometimes other things have to take priority.

Thanks Rick, Winter is usually my slow time. Summer gets busy at work, so I'll probably go missing again around june. :-/

I'm glad to see you're back! I had added you to my "regular" blogs that I checked, right around the time you stopped posting. No worries though, it gave me time to look through most of your previous entries lol

I'm a big fan, especially since you write from a family aspect… A big help for someone who loves heading out with my 2 year old in tow. And your wife's entries are great as well! I wish my wife shared my love for the outdoors as much, but I'm slowly getting her out & interested. Keep up the good work!
