Help Raise $600,000 for Outdoor Charities by Just Clicking your Mouse.
Lowe’s Home Improvement through their Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation is helping support four great charities by donating $1 Million dollars. Lowe’s plans to support The National Park Foundation, Keep America Beautiful, Water.org, and American Forests each with $100,000. The remaining $600,000 will go to the above charity with the most votes.
I first found out about this through The Smokey Mountain Hiking Blog. Jeff is asking everyone to support the National Park Foundation with their votes. The National Park System will use the money to support national park restoration and preservation efforts, connect under-served communities to their parks, and give disadvantaged children the opportunity to experience their national parks for the first time. I must admit the National Park Foundation is near and dear to my heart and I want to help preserve our National Parks for years to come.
But… American Forests will help plant trees and restore ecosystems, Water.org will help provide clean water in developing countries, and Keep America Beautiful will work with volunteers to prevent litter, reduce waste, and beautify communities. All of these are great causes. I’m having trouble deciding which charity I will vote for. Luckily you can vote once per e-mail address per day. Simply go to the Lowe’s Community Giving Campaign website and vote for the charity of your choice.
